Haley Sciola is a fully insured, double-certified professional dog trainer by the Certification Council of Professional Dog Trainers (CPDT-KA) as well as Animal Behavior College (ABCDT). She graduated with honors with a bachelor’s degree in English before spending five years in corporate digital marketing. Haley decided to follow her passion and start her dog training journey full time in 2018. She started strong working under great positive reinforcement mentor trainers while teaching group classes, private lessons, play and train (structured daycare group play), day training including puppy day school, and more.
Haley has since dedicated herself to continuing her education to best help clients and their dogs individually using science, compassion, positive communication, Sherlock-level creative problem-solving, and empathy. She is a mentor for Animal Behavior College students.
Haley enjoys working most with humans, especially ones with misunderstood dogs. She has a love of herding breeds and, as the empaths of the canine species, an innate understanding and appreciation for all the big feelings that come along with these big-brained and big-hearted beings. Haley loves hiking all dogs—including pupsqueaks—and often allows forests or fields in nature to do the decompression work for her as part of her training plans with clients. And just for fun of course!
Haley finally decided to found Holding Paws Dog Training in 2023 so she can hold your paws as we navigate this dog training thing together.
